EWAC 2009 - European World Ayurveda Congress in Baden-Baden, Germany

The two day event is an invitation to Ayurveda-Beginners as well as to Ayurveda-Professionals.

On 10th and 11th October Baden-Baden Congress House in Germany will be host the largest and most significant Ayurvedic event ever to have been staged outside India. The two day event in the intimate and up to date Conference and exhibition Centre is an invitation to all those who want to experience Ayurveda for the first time or those who want to learn and experience another aspect of this ancient system of Indian medicine to come and enjoy the European World Ayurveda Congress EWAC2009 .

The huge event, organised by EUAA – European Ayurveda Association - has a packed programme of lectures given by some of the best know names in the Ayurvedic world – Dr Vasant Lad, Professor Subhash Ranade and Sri Balaji Tambe to mention a few. There will be a therapy centre where visitors can experience an authentic Ayurvedic treatment, an information centre describing all aspects of Ayurveda and an exhibition of suppliers and clinics from India, Sri Lanka, USA and Europe. The stand holders will be present for the public and business partners alike, giving practical advice and demonstrations of their products, health travel destinations and services. There is a room in the Conference centre which is open to all where free talks will be given and there is a full programme of over 60 speakers from 15 countries talking on all aspects of Ayurveda and related subjects within the EWAC conference.

The event is being run with the support of the Indian Government’s Department of AYUSH who wish to promote Ayurveda as a Comprehensive Natural System of Medicine which could be fully integrated into the European National Health Services. Shri S. Gandhiselvan, Honorable Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare and Ms. S.Jalaja, Secretary(AYUSH) will be presiding over the event and The Indian Commerce Department has also encouraged Indian Exporters to participate through Assocham Chambers of Commerce.

Ms Jalaja will be chairing an International meeting on Monday 12th October in the Congress House which will deal with the impending Herbal medicines legislation and the integration of Ayurveda into National Health systems as a system of public choice.
